A "must read" on F1000.com

“Paradigm for industrial strain improvement identifies sodium acetate tolerance loci in Zymomonas mobilis and Saccharomyces cerevisiae”, was rated as a “must read” publication by the website F1000.com.  The BESC publication published last year in PNAS was reviewed by Dr. Judy Wall. "This paper is one of the first to illustrate the application of microbial genomic resequencing and microarray studies to determine the genome changes responsible for improved bioprocessing traits in strains obtained after random chemical mutagenesis and selection".  http://f1000.com/10030959.

The F1000 identifies and evaluates the most important articles in biology and medical research publications. The selection process comprises a peer-nominated global faculty of the world’s leading scientists and clinicians who rate the best of the articles they read and explain their importance.
